But it's so long and I tried reading it twice and got confused. I have no time! D:
Reading Homestuck is like spending a year in a foreign-speaking country.
You arrive and you have NO fucking clue what the hell is going on; you can't read the signs or understand the people or pick up on social cues. You feel like a noob and you feel terribly confused.
A couple months into your stay though, you've picked up enough of the language to hold a conversation and you've made friends with some of the locals.
By the time your year is up, you're as close to fluent as you can be given the time restraint and everything suddenly makes SENSE.
Basically, what I'm saying is: push past the weird lingo (what the fuck is a stack fetch modus? Strife specibus? What the fuck am I even LOOKING at??), push past the confusion, because eventually everything WILL make sense. And then you'll catch up to everyone else and it'll be time to reread it and scream about all the things that suddenly make sense.
